Leading environmental advocates under the Ghana Coalition Against Galamsey (GCAG) have welcomed the 20-year prison sentence imposed on the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, describing the judgment as a landmark victory in Ghana 39;s campaign against illegal mining.
