EPL: Arteta finally signs new four-year contract with Arsenal

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has signed a new contract with the Premier League club.

The 44-year-old’s former deal was due to expire next summer.

Arteta, who was appointed in 2019, has now committed his future to the club until June 2030.

The Spaniard led Arsenal to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season after three straight second-place finishes.

He also led the Gunners to only their second Champions League final, which they lost on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain.

During his tenure, Arteta has won an FA Cup and three Community Shields.

“It’s a privilege to commit my future to the club and to continue to work with exceptional people who want the best for Arsenal,” Arteta said in a statement.

“This club is unique, its character and the way it makes you feel, and I have a great sense of privilege that our journey together will continue.”
