EPL: Arteta will join the club – Rio Ferdinand predicts title race

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, is backing Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, to join the list of managers that have won consecutive Premier League titles.

Ferdinand, speaking on his YouTube channel, said Arteta has more experience than the coaches he is competing against this season.

According to him, the Gunners are about to dominate English football in the coming years.

“The experience Mikel Arteta has compared to the others is night and day. He knows how to win now as well,” Ferdinand said.

“Not many managers have won back-to-back Premier League titles but I think Mikel Arteta is going to join that club.

“I think this is going to be a period of dominance for Arsenal.”

Arsenal began their title defence with a 3-0 thrashing of Coventry last Friday.

The champions will now travel to Aston Villa next Monday for their second league fixture.
