EPL: Iraola gives Liverpool injury updates ahead of Man City clash

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Liverpool head coach, Andoni Iraola, has confirmed that Jeremy Jacquet is available to face Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend.

But both Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak are big doubts for the clash at Anfield.

All three players returned early from international duty with their respective countries.

However, only Jacquet will be fit enough to take on City this weekend having recovered from a tweaked hamstring.

Gapko [ankle] and Isak [thigh], have not trained however.

“That is the situation more or less – Jeremey has trained yesterday [Thursday] and he is good to go and I expect him to be available,” Iraola told Sky Sports.

“Cody and Alex have not trained yesterday, we put images of the session yesterday, we are not hiding! We still have a couple of days, but I think it is going to be tough.”
