Era of internal sabotage over – lPOB declares

Daily Post about 5 hours 3 mins read

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has declared that the era of internal sabotage in the organization is over.

The declaration followed the resolution of the recent internal crisis in the organization, which led to the expulsion of some leading figures.à

The newly inaugurated Head of the 4th Administration of the IPOB Directorate of State, DOS, Mazi Chris Nwaogu, made the declaration in an address to ‘Biafrans worldwide’ on Monday. IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, had appointed Nwaogu as the Head of the 4th Administration of that DOS, the group’s apex administrative body, following the dissolution of the 3rd Administration headed by Chika Edoziem.

Nwaogu pledged that, by the authority vested in him by IPOB Supreme Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, “the era of confusion, betrayal, abandonment, and internal sabotage is over”.

He vowed that IPOB must return to truth, loyalty, discipline, sacrifice, accountability, and absolute commitment to the restoration of Biafra, which he described as the principles upon which the movement was founded.

Stating the immediate priorities of the 4th Administration, Nwaogu disclosed that the revival of Radio Biafra is top on the agenda.

He also said the group will work towards securing the freedom of detained IPOB members, and also address the welfare needs of personnel of the Eastern Security Network, ESN.

Nwaogu said, “My fellow Biafrans, we must move forward with purpose. One of the first priorities of my administration is the restoration of Radio Biafra. That powerful voice, which educated, inspired, and mobilized millions, has remained silent for far too long. We are determined to restore it so that the authentic voice of our struggle will once again be heard throughout the world without distortion or manipulation.

“We must also never forget our brothers and sisters who remain in various detention centres and prisons across Nigeria because of this struggle. Our legal team has commenced identifying individuals who have remained in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) for extended periods, as well as those held in various correctional facilities. Efforts are ongoing to facilitate appropriate legal representation and to pursue all lawful avenues available for their cases. A movement that cannot care for those who sacrificed their freedom for its cause has abandoned its own conscience.

“Furthermore, the administration recognizes the importance of ensuring that the welfare arrangements for members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) are administered in accordance with the movement’s established policies. Measures are being reviewed to improve the management of welfare support and to strengthen oversight and accountability for resources allocated for that purpose.”

Nwaogu also harped on the need for financial accountability.

He said, “Every contribution made by Biafrans across the world represents sacrifice. Those resources belong to the movement, not to individuals. Our administration will restore financial discipline, transparency, and confidence throughout every structure of IPOB.”

He also announced plans to provide weekly updates on Kanu’s case. According to him, “Our people deserve accurate information — not rumours, propaganda, or confusion.”

Nwaogu declared that the ship of Biafra is back on course urged every genuine Biafran at home and throughout the Diaspora to stand firm, remain peaceful, disciplined and united, and protect the integrity of the movement.

He, however, warned expelled members of the dissolved 3rd Administration of the DOS against parading themselves as representatives of the group. Nwaogu stressed that there will be severe legal consequences for their action.
