Katsina United technical adviser, Azeez Audu Mohammed claimed that his side’s slow start contributed to their defeat against Shooting Stars, DAILY POST reports.
The Chanji Boys fell 2-0 to Shooting Stars in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 5 encounter at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
The hosts started the game on the front foot and scored the curtain-raiser through Olanrewaju Ridwan in the 20th minute.
Qamar Adegoke scored Shooting Stars’ second goal in the 72nd minute.
Mohammed admitted that conceding early in the game destabilised his players.
“I think that early goal destabilised us a little bit. I think that was what gave them the edge,” Mohammed said after the game.
Katsina United will face Doma United in their next game this weekend.
