Ex minister, Uche Nnaji arrives court as ICPC begins certificate forgery trial

Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja for his arraignment over certificate forgery charges brought against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC.

Nnaji, dressed in a white outfit and a red cap, acknowledged supporters as he entered the courtroom.

The ICPC is expected to formally arraign the former minister on charges bordering on alleged certificate forgery and making false statements in documents submitted to public authorities.

Recall that the ex-minister was arrested on Wednesday, 1st July, 2026 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. 

He was apprehended with the assistance of the Department of State Services (DSS) and subsequently handed over to the ICPC for further investigation.
