The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday said no president in Nigeria’s history has commissioned the number of projects done by President Bola Tinubu within three years in office.
Describing Tinubu as a miracle worker, Akpabio said Tinubu remains a performing president in the history of Nigeria.
Akpabio spoke during the commissioning of the Old Keffi Road from Kado Fish Market to Deidei to mark Tinubu’s third year in office.
Representing Tinubu at the commissioning, Akpabio said: “I’m here to represent the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria, the performing president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu. I have not seen any president in Nigeria, on his anniversary, 1st, 2nd, 3rd commissioned the number of projects that this president has commissioned across the country.
“While we were on the road yesterday, we were at Gaduwa district, Nasarawa was a day before yesterday, when I saw the miracle of touching the satellite towns, the people came out with joy and shout because they could not believe what they are seeing. While we were there yesterday, there was also another commissioning going on in Nasarawa State.”
The Senate President urged Nigerians to start looking at Tinubu’s works as a scorecard ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He noted that the president has a lot of good works to show as his scorecard which started from his time as governor of Lagos State.
“This president is doing miracles, so I think in Nigeria we must now bring up a standard for elections that show me your works and I would vote for you.
“People have been in government for a long time and some have been there for over 25 years but can’t boast of anything but in the case of Tinubu, start looking at his works from Lagos many years ago when he was a governor even till today, he is still the same person, planning and bringing out results.
“So I’m very proud to represent him here today in the commissioning of this old Keffi road,” he added.
