FCT: Why I can’t work with Senator Kingibe – Wike

Daily Post about 1 hour 2 mins read

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has vowed never to work with the senator representing the capital territory, Ireti Kingibe, because she laid a bad foundation.

Wike said Kingibe may not return in 2027 because she has done nothing.

He spoke at a press conference in Abuja while faulting the senator’s recent criticism following flooding in some parts of the FCT.

According to Wike: “If Senator Ireti Kingibe knows that there’s a problem, she’s the one who makes the law. The National Assembly is our own House of Assembly.

“Why should she every time, ‘working with her, working with her, working with her’? I was not appointed to work with only one particular person. I work with everybody.

“I don’t blame her because she has almost lost the election. All she’s doing now is to see whether she can get the people.

“I won’t work with her because she laid the bad foundation; she has done nothing. The people know she has done nothing, and they’re ready to fail her in the next election.

“If she likes, let her appear on Channels TV 20 times, appear on Arise TV 55 times. It won’t change the mindset of the people.”
