FCT: Wike true driver of renewed hope agenda, working inline with my vision – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday said the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike’s efforts of transforming Abuja into a capital city that all Nigerians would be proud of is in line with his vision to build a nation that works through purposeful leadership.

This was as Tinubu described Wike as a man of vision and a driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda under his administration.

Represented by the First Lady, Remi, Tinubu spoke during the commissioning of the remodelled Abuja City Gate as part of projects to mark his third year in office as President.

According to Tinubu, roads are being constructed, expanded, public spaces are been improved upon, and critical infrastructures are received renewed attention under Wike’s leadership.

He said: “I commend the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike for remodeling the monument and for relentless dedication to transforming the general ambiance of the FCT. I also acknowledge the numerous infrastructural projects currently being undertaken by the capital city.

“Roads are being constructed and expanded, public spaces are been improved and critical infrastructures are received renewed attention.

“When you share a vision with a man of action you see results, Wike you have proven once again to be a true driver of the Renewed Hope agenda, and I say well done.

“These efforts are contributing to the transformation of Abuja into a capital city that every Nigerian can be truly proud of in line with our vision to build a nation that works for its people through purposeful leadership, modern infrastructure, and sustainable development to improve quality of life.

“As we commission this City Gate today, may she stand as an enduring symbol of renewal, progress, and national pride. May all who pass through her be reminded of the boundless potential of our nation and be inspired to contribute to her continued growth.”

The president urged all residents of the capital city to ensure proper usage and maintenance of the Abuja City Gate and other infrastructures by his administration.

“To the residents of Abuja, I say congratulations and I encourage you all to protect and preserve this landmark public infrastructure belongs to all of us and its maintenance is a shared responsibility,” he added.
