Fear grips Mada Station as kidnappings escalate in Nasarawa Eggon

Daily Post about 2 hours 2 mins read

Residents of Mada Station in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have raised the alarm over increasing cases of kidnapping in the community, expressing fears for their safety following multiple abductions in recent days.

A resident, Micah Kuje, disclosed the development in a Facebook post on Thursday, stating that two persons were abducted in Angwan Mission two days earlier, while a secondary school teacher, Mr. Solomon Musa Ogah, was reportedly kidnapped in the early hours of Thursday.

Kuje stated that the victims were still in captivity as of the time of his post, prompting renewed calls for urgent security intervention.

He appealed to the Nasarawa State Government and security agencies to take immediate steps to address the situation, stressing that the protection of lives and property remains a fundamental responsibility of government.

He specifically called on the lawmaker representing Nasarawa Eggon West Constituency, Hon. Abel Yakubu Bala; the state government; the Nasarawa State Police Command; and the Executive Chairman of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area to intensify efforts to secure the community and facilitate the victims’ safe return.

“The people of Mada Station are no longer safe. We are living in fear and we need urgent security intervention,” he said.

Kuje also expressed hope for the safe and timely release of the abducted victims.
