Former President of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) and Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN), Architect Kabir Ibrahim Faskari, is dead.
DAILY POST reports that his death followed complications arising from prostate surgery in Istanbul, Turkey.
A friend of the deceased, who confirmed his death to DAILY POST, said they visited him in Istanbul and spoke with him shortly before they returned to Nigeria.
Faskari was also the Chairman of the Agriculture Business Group.
He was a prominent voice in Nigeria’s agricultural sector and played key roles in farmers’ organisations.
He is expected to be buried in Turkey, although details of his burial arrangements were not immediately available as of press time.
