Friendly: Super Eagles storm Moscow ahead of Russia showdown

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Moscow ahead of their international friendly against Russia scheduled for next Tuesday.

The Nigerian delegation arrived in the Russian capital on Friday afternoon.

The three-time African champions will face Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in what will be only the second senior international meeting between both countries.

Nigeria and Russia previously met in June 2025 at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, with the encounter ending in a 1-1 draw.

The Super Eagles will be looking to return to winning ways after suffering a disappointing defeat to Guinea-Bissau in their previous outing.

They are expected to hold their first training session ahead of the friendly on Friday.
