All eyes are on Vietnam as the 73rd Miss World competition gets underway, and Nigeria’s very own Tamunosoye Karibi–George is officially in the building.
If you followed the thrilling Miss World Nigeria pageant back in June 2026, her name will definitely sound familiar. Representing Bayelsa State, the 26-year-old mass communication graduate and Port Harcourt native clinched the national crown at Balmoral Hall in Lagos, earning the honour to carry the green-white-green flag on the international stage. Now, she has landed in Vietnam alongside contestants from over 120 countries for nearly a month of cultural showcases, fast-track challenges, and community outreach events.

Beyond the glamorous sashes and spotlight, Tamunosoye brings serious credentials to the contest. She holds a degree from Madonna University, Okija, is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, and previously won the Miss Africa International title in Accra, Ghana, in 2024.
