Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has reaffirmed the importance of traditional institutions in promoting peace, security, and grassroots development across the state.
Dikko made this known during a high-level meeting with the Emir of Katsina, HRH Abdulmumini Usman; the Emir of Daura, HRH Umar Umar; alongside district heads and village heads from across the state.
The meeting, held on Thursday at the Government House Council Chamber in Katsina, forms part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to deepen engagement with traditional leaders and strengthen community-based approaches to governance, security, and sustainable development across Katsina State.
It mainly focused on key issues of governance, community development, and security, with particular emphasis on strengthening collaboration between the state government and traditional institutions.

Governor Radda noted that traditional rulers remain vital partners in maintaining peace, fostering unity, and supporting government policies and programmes at the grassroots level.
He stressed the need for continued cooperation to address security challenges and accelerate development across communities.
The gathering brought together top government officials, including the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Nasir Daura; the Chief Judge of Katsina State, Justice Musa Abubakar; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Abdulkadir Nasir; the Principal Private Secretary, Abdullahi Turaji; and other members of the Katsina State Executive Council.
