‘I brought Mercy Aigbe into Nollywood, she repaid me with wickedness’ – Olaide Olabanji

Daily Post about 1 month 1 mins read

Nollywood actor and producer, Olaide Olabanji has accused his colleague, Mercy Aigbe of being “an ingrate,” claiming that that she repaid him with “wickedness” after he singlehandedly introduced her into Nollywood.

The filmmaker explained that Aigbe’s behaviour towards him changed drastically following her success, stressing that she even went to the extent of blocking him on social media.

In a recent interview with media personality Oyinmomo, Olabanji claimed that the actress, once warm and approachable, now appears distant and hostile whenever they cross paths.

He further alleged that Aigbe resents him to the extent of wishing him “death.”

He said, “I brought Mercy Aigbe into the movie industry. I saw her in a shop in 2004 and asked her if she could act. She said yes, and I put her on. But now she is blocking me. To her, it is as if I should no longer exist.”

Mercy Aigbe is yet to react to Olabanji’s allegations.
