‘I dey pray not to contract disease’ – Actor Jide Awobona expresses concerns over kissing roles

Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has expressed concerns over kissing scenes in movies.
He made his concerns public after having to kiss an unnamed actress with bad breath while filming.

Narrating the experience in an interview with Yanga FM, Awobona expressed fears about the health risks associated with kissing without proper medical checks on cast members.

When asked if he kisses in movies, he responded in Pidgin English:

“Yes, I have done it. But if you get that kind funny odor, I go japa oo. I no fit kiss you.”

Interviewer: “You don act with someone with mouth odor?”

The actor answered:

“Yes, I don act with somebody wey get mouth odor. And I go one place go wash my mouth. And the person con see me.

“I just dey pray make person no go contact something because I don tire,” the actor revealed.
