I Want To Fight Terry G So People Can Remember Him Again — Portable

 

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has said he is willing to step into the boxing ring with fellow artiste Terry G, claiming the fight would help revive the latter’s career.

Portable made the remark during an interview on Rubbin’ Minds on Channels Television, where he spoke about his celebrity boxing career and plans for future bouts.

Asked who he would like to face next in the ring, the “Zazuu” crooner replied:

“I want to fight Terry G. If Terry G fights me, one-on-one in boxing, he will rise again. People will remember him again,” he said.

When the interviewer suggested that he wanted to help Terry G’s career by fighting him, Portable agreed and physically demonstrated his readiness for the bout.

The 32-year-old singer also expressed his desire for a rematch with skit maker Carter Efe, who handed him the first defeat of his celebrity boxing career in May 2026.

“I will go again with Carter Efe. I will beat him,” he said.

 

Portable further revealed that he plans to return to London after completing another boxing contest with actor Charles Okocha.

Speaking on the impact of his involvement in celebrity boxing, Portable claimed he has played a significant role in boosting the sport’s popularity in Nigeria.

“I used my music career to build Nigerian boxing.”

The Ogun-born singer also dismissed speculation of any rift with rapper Olamide, insisting that the YBNL boss remains an important figure in his life and career.

“I did not fight Olamide. He’s my helper.”

Portable further made a bold claim about the Nigerian music industry, saying no local artiste would win a Grammy Award without collaborating with him.

“No Nigerian artiste will win a Grammy without featuring me,” he said.

Portable has become one of Nigeria’s most recognisable celebrity boxers since making his debut in December 2023.

He defeated actor Charles Okocha by decision in his first exhibition bout before securing a technical knockout victory over rapper Speed Darlington in April 2025 after his opponent suffered a shoulder injury.

His unbeaten run ended in May 2026 when skit maker Carter Efe defeated him by unanimous decision at Chaos in the Ring 4 in Lagos.
