Content creator and actor, Isbae U, has revealed that he was scared of interviewing prominent personalities who were much older than him, including veteran actor Pete Edochie and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Isbae U made this known as a guest on The Morayo Show, where he reflected on his journey into interviewing and the inspiration behind his popular show, Curiosity Made Me Ask.
“I get scared, especially when interviewing people that are way older than me, like Sir Pete Edochie, like the late Ogogo, like Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. I was very worried about it, but I am glad they welcomed me and made me know I can do this,” he said.
Speaking about his journey into entertainment, Isbae U said his transition from acting and other creative pursuits was part of his process of finding himself.
“You can’t say my acting didn’t work out. It was just me finding myself. I was singing before that, rapping before that,” he said.
He explained that Curiosity Made Me Ask came from his desire to do something different rather than remain average.
“There was a day I said to someone that I was done being a mediocre being, average. I wanted to do something different. I didn’t just want to be considered part of them. I wanted to do something different,” he said.
According to him, he was inspired by a show he used to watch and decided to try something similar.
“I saw a show that I used to watch a long time ago. I got inspired by it and I tried it,” he added.
