I would go to heaven and back for love – Nollywood actress Centhia

By Ayo Onikoyi
Fast-rising Nollywood actress Innocenthia Ihebie, popularly known as Centhia, has declared that she is willing to go to any length for love, describing it as a powerful force that extends beyond romance to family and friendship.
Speaking in a chat with Potpourri, the actress said, “I would go to heaven and back for love. For me, love can be my family, my friend or a spouse. I would literally give my life for my loved one,” underscoring her deep emotional commitment to relationships.
Centhia, who is gradually carving a niche for herself in Nollywood, traced her journey into the entertainment industry to sheer passion. According to her, her love for acting was the major driving force behind her decision to pursue a career in the movie industry.
On her experience with social media, the actress noted that she is yet to encounter any extreme highs or lows, describing her journey online as steady and uneventful for now.
Reacting to the controversial notion that women need financial support from wealthy men to succeed, Centhia dismissed the idea as unfair and dismissive of women’s hard work. She stressed that many women are genuinely industrious and should not have their success attributed to men.
Addressing claims about fake friendships in Nollywood, she maintained that the issue is not peculiar to the film industry. According to her, finding genuine friends is a universal challenge, advising people to stay focused and mind their business.
Reflecting on her early career, Centhia revealed that her first movie role was a sub-lead in Too Late to Claim, where she played the daughter of veteran actress Ebere Okaro. She explained that the role opened doors for her, allowing filmmakers to recognize her talent and offer her more opportunities.
The actress also cited top industry figures such as Kemi Adetiba and Funke Akindele as her mentors, noting that their dedication and consistency continue to inspire her career growth.
Speaking on relationships, Centia listed her ideal qualities in a partner, emphasizing the importance of being God-fearing, kind, playful, romantic, and gentle.
On the topic of body enhancement, she expressed reservations, describing such procedures as risky and not worth endangering one’s life, while still acknowledging individual choice.
The actress further disclosed that while acting contributes to her income, she is also diversifying her earnings, hinting at a new brand she is currently developing.
On how her looks have influenced her journey, Centia acknowledged her beauty but emphasized that her intelligence has played an equally significant role in shaping her success, noting that the combination of both has created opportunities for her in the industry.
