Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has visited Mrs Amina Rabe Abubakar, wife of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar, following her successful rescue from kidnappers by troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA.

Mrs Abubakar is currently receiving medical attention at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, where the governor paid her a visit alongside the Director General of Media Affairs, Maiwada Dammallam.

According to reports, the rescue operation was carried out after troops engaged the kidnappers in a fierce confrontation, leading to the successful recovery of the victim during a well-coordinated military operation.

Speaking during the visit, Governor Radda commended the gallantry, professionalism, and dedication of the security forces involved in the operation.

He noted that the “successful rescue has further strengthened public confidence in the government’s ongoing efforts, in collaboration with the Armed Forces, to restore peace and security across Katsina State and the wider North-West region.”

The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies in the fight against banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities threatening the safety of citizens.

The rescue of Mrs Abubakar is being hailed as another significant success for Operation FANSAN YAMMA and a testament to the determination of Nigerian security forces to protect lives and combat insecurity across the country.
