Insecurity: NOA warns Kebbi residents against planned protests

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

The National Orientation Agency, NOA, in Kebbi State has urged residents to refrain from planned protests over insecurity, warning that demonstrations could disrupt security operations.

The agency’s State Director, Nasiru Muhammed Karofi, made the appeal in a statement made available to journalists in Birnin Kebbi.

Karofi said protests could distract security agencies from their operations and worsen the security situation.

He also warned residents against circulating unverified reports that could cause panic in communities, saying such information could benefit bandits.

Karofi urged residents to support security agencies and called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, community heads and youth organisations to promote peace and vigilance.

He also expressed condolences to families who had lost loved ones to insecurity.
