Insecurity: Tinubu doesn’t need to wear Khaki to fight – Pastor Adeboye

Daily Post about 3 hours 2 mins read

The leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said Nigerians should not expect President Bola Tinubu to wear “khaki to fight” the country’s insecurity.

Pastor Adeboye said Tinubu should only give instructions on how to deal with insecurity in Nigeria.

He spoke at the US-Nigeria faith heroes award gala, which was organized by the Save Nigeria Group in Washington, where he faulted criticisms against Tinubu regarding insecurity.

Adeboye: “I want to be clear: I don’t support the people who are saying the president isn’t doing enough.

“When the leader at the top gives orders to his team, he has fulfilled his part. You wouldn’t expect him to go and wear khaki and fight.

“When my friend Trump tells people to go bomb anywhere, he doesn’t stay out of the White House. He says, “I hereby command, bomb Iran,” and then he goes to his bedroom and sleeps.”

Adeboye said he still supports his stance even though terrorism is getting nearer to his area.

“He said things have gotten much, much worse than before the bomb happened,” he added, referring to the US bombing of Islamist terrorists in Nigeria last December.
