Kaduna South Local Government Area has launched a digital transformation initiative aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficient service delivery through technology.

The initiative also featured the presentation of the council’s official logo, the launch of its web portal, the administration’s scorecard, and the inauguration of the RaySCALE Fellows.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Hadiza Balarabe, described the initiative as a significant step toward strengthening the relationship between government and the people. She said the programme aligns with Governor Uba Sani’s vision of inclusive governance and people-centred development.

According to her, digital transformation should not be judged solely by technological advancement but by its impact on improving the lives of citizens.

“Government must be seen. Government must be heard. Government must listen. The government must answer. And above all, government must serve,” she said.

The deputy governor commended the Kaduna South Local Government for embracing digital governance and urged the council to ensure that the newly launched web portal remains functional, accessible, and responsive to the needs of residents.

Earlier, the Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Rayyan Hussein, said the administration had recorded measurable progress in key sectors, including health, education, security, and economic development, following a baseline assessment of the council.

He noted that the council’s programmes are aligned with Governor Uba Sani’s SUSTAIN Agenda, with a focus on delivering tangible benefits to residents through effective governance and sustainable development.

The digital transformation initiative is expected to improve access to public information, strengthen citizen engagement, and enhance the delivery of government services across Kaduna South Local Government Area.
