Kwankwaso more accommodating than Peter Obi – Buhari’s ex-aide

Daily Post about 21 hours 2 mins read

Former media aide to the late ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, on Thursday claimed that former presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is more strategic and accommodating than the African Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential hopeful, Peter Obi.

Ahmad said Kwankwaso accommodated Obi’s followers by using them to expand his political structure and influence.

He was reacting to an X user @KafinHausaa who wrote: “Our man” Kwankwaso is no longer pretending. All he cares about is selling his red ideology to Southerners. Sharp sharp, no delay. Better cash out for my Kano NDC friends while the market still dey hot.”

Posting on X, the former presidential aide noted that Kwankwaso has shown the difference between politics built by structure and that driven by popularity.

He wrote: “It is just that Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso appears more strategic and more accommodating than Peter Obi. You can already see it in the way he immediately opened his doors to welcome Peter’s people, using them to expand his political structure and influence.

“That is the difference between politics driven by structure and politics driven mainly by popularity.”

Obi and Kwankwaso recently defected to the NDC from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
