Lagos is set to host leading stakeholders from Nigeria and the international maritime community as Zoe Maritime Resources Limited convenes the 11th International Maritime Business-to-Business Conference and Exhibition, as part of the Lagos International Maritime Week (LIMWEEK) 2026.
The three-day event, scheduled for will take place at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, themed, “From Policy to Practice – Powering Maritime Excellence.”
The 2026 edition of LIMWEEK aligns with the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) World Maritime Day 2026 theme, with a focus on Africa, and is aimed at bridging the gap between maritime policies and their practical implementation.
According to the organisers, the conference will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, business engagement and practical collaboration among stakeholders across the maritime value chain.
The event is expected to attract government officials, regulators, maritime professionals, industry leaders, academics, investors, businesses, young professionals and representatives of international maritime organisations.
The conference will also provide participants with opportunities to explore emerging trends, strengthen industry partnerships and develop practical solutions to challenges confronting the maritime sector.
LIMWEEK 2026 is aimed at moving discussions beyond policy formulation to practical implementation, stronger collaboration and measurable outcomes capable of driving the growth and development of Africa’s maritime sector.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Chairman of Zoe Maritime Resources Limited and Conference Convener, Ms. Oritsematosan Edodo-Emore, said the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies had made it imperative for the African maritime industry and blue economy to embrace the next phase of development.
She said: “With the proliferation of artificial intelligence and other innovations, the African maritime industry and blue economy must move to its next level.”
According to her, the conference will provide stakeholders with opportunities to exchange ideas, identify industry challenges, explore investment opportunities and develop practical approaches to strengthening Nigeria’s and Africa’s maritime sectors.
