LaLiga: I’m sad – Fermin Lopez on Rodri taking his number 16 Barcelona shirt

Barcelona forward, Fermin Lopez has admitted he is “sad” to hand over his number 16 shirt to Rodri.

Rodri is set to complete his £65.4m move from Manchester City in the coming days.

The Spain midfielder spoke with Lopez about taking his number 16 shirt, which he wore at City.

Lopez is now expected to switch to the number 7, which Ferran Torres has vacated following his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

“Rodri will give us a lot of quality, it’s a fantastic signing,” Lopez told AS.

“I’ve asked for number 7. I always liked it.

“I’m a little bit sad to leave number 16, but it will be in good hands.”
