LaLiga: We made mistakes – Mourinho criticises Real Madrid stars after Rayo Vallecano win

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has criticised his players following their LaLiga 4-1 win over Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

Mourinho said his team made mistakes and lost possession during the encounter.

A brace from Kylian Mbappé and goals from Jude Bellingham and Álvaro Carreras gave Mourinho’s side all three points against the visitors at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Speaking at his post-match interview, Mourinho said, “Our concentration dropped, and we made mistakes and lost possession during the build-up. We also struggled to press, and Rayo – who hadn’t threatened in the first half – had more shots on goal.

“I expected the match to go this way, given our Champions League experience. The aim was to start strongly and wrap the match up quickly, and we achieved that.”

Real Madrid’s next LaLiga match is against Elche at the Manuel Martínez Valero on Tuesday.
