LaLiga: What I found in Real Madrid dressing room – Mourinho

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, has said he has found a dressing room that really wants to win.

Mourinho has returned to the Santiago Bernabeu for a second stint, 13 years after his first spell.

The Portuguese manager claims the current squad has not given him the chance to be aggressive, as the players are open to common sense.

Last season, Madrid finished trophyless amid reports of clashes between several players in training.

Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa also lost their jobs, as they were unable to manage the egos in the dressing room.

But Mourinho said he has met a different set of players.

“I have found a dressing room that really wants to win. They are very open to common sense.

“I haven’t had any chance to be the aggressive leader that I can be.

“They have protected me from this version of mine because the behaviour has been immaculate,” Mourinho said.

Los Blancos are preparing to open their LaLiga season away to Espanyol on Saturday.
