Man jailed for stealing plantain

The Odumase-Krobo Circuit Court has sentenced a 35-year-old unemployed man, Anani Bakar, to four weeks 39; imprisonment for stealing a bundle of plantain at Nuaso Newtown in the Eastern Region. Bakar, a resident of Kpong Zongo, pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing, contrary to Section 124(1) of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
