Mary Habila: Umahi must be arrested, investigated, sacked – Sowore

Daily Post 1 day 2 mins read

African Action Congress, AAC, presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has called for the immediate arrest, investigation and sack of the Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, over Mary Habila’s death in his residence.

Sowore made this call while speaking with journalists on Monday, insisting that nemesis is catching up with Umahi.

He alleged that five engineers disappeared under Umahi’s watch with nothing done about it, claiming that when was pressurized to provided the remains of those engineers, the bones provided for medical test proved otherwise.

“You can commit crimes and get away with it at some point, yes, but you will never get away at all times. Now his crimes are catching up with him.

“Apart from the five engineers that are missing under his watch, there’s also a family that has been in jail since 2025 that he ordered to be sent to prison in Ebonyi.

“Don’t forget that this same Umahi constructed one of the most expensive airports where even a drone doesn’t land today in Ebonyi.

“So his crimes are catching up with him, and he must answer for them. Umahi must be arrested and investigated, tried, and appropriately dealt with,” Sowore said.
