Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Super Eagles midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf, has been named Major League Soccer, MLS, Player of the Week, DAILY POST reports.

Yusuf scored a hat-trick in New England Revolution’s 3-0 victory over D.C. United on Wednesday.

The comfortable victory put an end to the Revs’ three-game winless streak.

The Nigeria international struck twice in the first half as the visitors took firm control of the contest.

The midfielder then completed his hat-trick six minutes after the hour mark to seal an emphatic victory for Marko Mitrović’s side.

Yusuf has so far registered five goals, and two assists in 20 league appearances for the club this season.

New England Revolution currently occupy fourth position in the Eastern Conference table with 33 points from 20 games.

They will host New York City FC in their next league game at the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough on Sunday.
