Movit Africa’s “World of Beauty” Wins Top Honours at UGITF 2026

Kampala, Uganda | October 2026 — In a trade fair where hundreds of brands compete for consumer attention, Movit Africa turned its exhibition space into an interactive beauty experience and walked away with the Best Overall Exhibitor and the Best Sector Exhibitor – Cosmetics/Petrochemical Products award at the 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair.

Behind the recognition is “Movit: The World of Beauty,” an experiential exhibition designed to move beyond the conventional approach of displaying products on shelves to allowing consumers to discover, experience and interact with Movit Africa’s portfolio.

Visitors to the stand can explore different product categories, participate in beauty and salon experiences, interact with product teams and learn more about products suited to their individual beauty and personal care needs.

Mary Kobusingye, Corporate Affairs Manager, said the exhibition was deliberately designed around consumer participation rather than passive product display.

“A trade fair gives us something increasingly valuable and that is the opportunity to meet consumers face-to-face, listen to them and allow them to experience our brands for themselves. We therefore wanted the World of Beauty to be more than a stand. We wanted it to be a space where consumers could discover, ask questions, try products and engage with the people behind the brands.”

The approach reflects a broader shift in brand engagement where physical experiences complement traditional advertising and digital communication by giving consumers an opportunity to interact directly with brands. For Movit Africa, these interactions also provide an opportunity to listen.

“Every conversation at the stand gives us insight into what consumers are looking for, what they enjoy about our products and where their needs are changing. Winning Best Overall Exhibitor is exciting, but the bigger value is the connection we are building with the people we ultimately manufacture for,” Kobusingye added.

The 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair is organised by the Uganda Manufacturers Association and brings together manufacturers, businesses, consumers and other stakeholders.

Movit Africa said it will continue investing in consumer experiences that bring its brands closer to the people they serve while using consumer insight to inform future innovation and market development.
