As the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), scheduled 16th May 2026, to conduct House of representatives primaries across the country, police men and other see security personnel were seen in all the polling centres and to avoid any form of bridges.

However members as at 3pm most polling centres were yet to record any materials as it was yet to commence in all the ward headquarters in the State 

While monitoring the exercise , Vanguard observed that all voting points and election materials were yet to arrive at the voting venue at the time of filing this report.

In an interviewed with one of the APC member who was patiently waiting to vote his preferred aspirants said, he was at the venue since around 10 am but the voting process did not commenced.

Meanwhile report from Gudi the governor’s home town indicates that Governor Abdulahi Sule has voted , however earlier around 10 am, the Nasarawa State APC chairman Dr. Aliyu Bello has said that all was set to commence the party primary scheduled to hold today.

Interview with the State commissioner of police Nasarawa Shettima Jauro Mohammed said that matters of primaries election are solely affair of political parties, security are only in the venues to ensure that peace is maintained.

He however said that the APC House of Representative primary was largely peaceful with no reports of violence recorded.
