Daily Post about 1 hour 2 mins read

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi A. Sule, has commended the Department of State Services, DSS, and other security agencies for the successful rescue of a kidnap victim and the arrest of three suspects allegedly connected to the crime in Lafia.

The operation, according to a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Ibrahim Addra, resulted in the arrest of one suspect at a criminal hideout in Atabula, Duduguru, while two others were apprehended in Lafia.

Security operatives also dismantled the criminal makeshift camp and recovered cash and five mobile phones during the operation.

Sule described the development as a significant security breakthrough, noting that the coordinated action demonstrated the resolve of security personnel to disrupt criminal activities and protect residents across the state.

He urged the security agencies to maintain the momentum and intensify efforts to track down individuals and networks involved in kidnapping and other forms of criminality.

The Governor further assured the security agencies of his administration’s continued cooperation and support, while calling on residents to remain vigilant and promptly provide credible information that could assist security personnel in preventing and responding to security threats.

He said sustained collaboration between security agencies, the government and citizens remain critical to maintaining peace and protecting lives and property across Nasarawa State.
