Nations League: Jorge Jesus reveals decision on Ronaldo’s future with Portugal

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Portugal head coach, Jorge Jesus, has said Cristiano Ronaldo is free to return to the national team setup.

Jesus, speaking after their 2-1 win over Norway in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday, insisted that the issue can be resolved easily.

He said: “For me, everything is open. Cris has to decide what he wants to do with his own life.

“It was a misunderstanding and for me, it’s easy to resolve this situation.

“There are no bad feelings with Cristiano. It’s easy to resolve, in my view.

“Ronaldo will decide what he wants to do. I am not the one who decides this.”

Ronaldo left camp after falling out with Jesus over playing time.

The 41-year-old vowed to reveal the “truth” about his departure, but has remained silent since arriving in Madrid, Spain.
