Nations League: My conscience is clear – Jorge Jesus breaks silence on Ronaldo’s exit

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Portugal head coach, Jorge Jesus, has insisted he has a “clear conscience” over his fallout with captain Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo left the national team camp on Wednesday, ahead of their UEFA Nations League clash with Denmark.

The 41-year-old was upset with Jesus over his remarks at a press conference after leaving him as an unused substitute against Norway on Sunday.

After leaving camp, Ronaldo issued a statement vowing to reveal the “truth” about his departure from the camp.

“I am completely relaxed, with a clear conscience regarding this situation.

“After Sunday’s match, we will talk about everything,” Jesus told Sport TV.
