‘Nobody knows where Fubara belongs’ – Sumner Sambo

Daily Post 24 days 2 mins read

Arise News politics editor, Sumner Sambo, has suggested that Governor Siminalayi Fubara, of Rivers State no longer holds significant influence in Nigeria’s political space.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Monday, Sambo claimed that Fubara is one of the biggest political let downs for his supporters in Rivers State.

According to him, there is no political direction in the oil rich state, adding that his supporters are confused.

Sambo further claimed that Fubara is pursuing an automatic ticket and is relying on President Bola Tinubu to counter the influence of Nyesom Wike in Rivers State politics.

He said: “What else would you have expected from someone who has not even be able to define his own political party. He’s trying to galvanize politics towards president Tinubu because right now nobody knows, or can even count Governor Fubara as one of those politicians that his voice really counts in the polity.

“He’s really lost out. I hear he’s been trying to fight for an automatic ticket, and he’s banking on the president to be able to suppress the Wike phenomenon in Rivers State. And that’s why he’s gone ahead to gather all the traditional rulers in the southern part of the country to see how, you know, they can be able to push support for President.

‘Very fantastic. I commend him for doing that, but I can tell him that he is one of the biggest political let down for his supporters in Rivers state because there is no political direction, the same movement and all of that, everybody is just there, confused.”
