Nony 4DGD set to release ‘Many Men’

Fast-rising Afro-Pop artiste, Opeloyeru Basit, popularly known as Nony 4DGD, is preparing to release his new single titled Many Men, a motivational track inspired by struggle, resilience, and self-discovery.

The Lagos-born singer described the song as a reflection of the silent battles many people fight daily while chasing success and survival. According to him, the single which will be released on May 20 across all music streaming platforms carries a message of persistence and courage.

“There’s this quiet war beneath the surface of everyday life,” he said. “You learn that the door untouched by a thousand knocks may finally move under a thousand kicks. Push harder, become more assertive, take risks.”

Nony 4DGD noted that Many Men is not just another Afro-Pop release but a deeply personal record shaped by his experiences growing up in Lagos. He explained that the energy and hustle culture of the city heavily influenced both his sound and outlook on life.

“Growing up in Lasgidi, where one hustler knows many hustlers and everybody carries an incredible hunger for success, that Lagos birthed me. And you know what they say? Lion no go ever born goat,” he said.

The artiste also described the song as one of his most honest works yet, admitting that he has evolved significantly since he started music.

“When I started, I was just trying to sound like someone else. Now I’m learning to sound like myself. Many Men is the clearest proof of that growth. It’s the most honest I’ve ever been on a record,” he stated.

According to him, the creative process behind the song was intense, revealing that there were moments he almost abandoned the project entirely.

“Honestly, Many Men almost didn’t make it. There were moments in the studio where I wanted to scrap everything and start over, but that frustration became the fuel. The final version was recorded almost entirely in one late-night session. Something just unlocked,” he recalled.

Nony 4DGD believes his music stands out because it comes from lived experiences rather than trends.

“Now I chase truth. I make music for memory. When you listen to my songs, you feel like someone actually lived it. Many Men is not just a song, it’s a conversation people are already having but didn’t know how to put into words,” he added.
