Kano Pillars midfielder, Shola Abdulraman, has urged the club’s supporters to expect a positive campaign from the team in the new season.
The Sai Masu Gida opened their 2026-27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, campaign with a 2-2 draw against Kwara United in Ilorin.
Abdulraman scored the opening goal for the Daniel Ogunmodede’s side in the game.
Veteran midfielder Rabiu Aliu was also on the scoresheet for the visitors.
Abdulraman insisted that it was good start for the team.
“The point gained here in Ilorin was like a win for us,” Abdulraman told SobiFM.
“Its my job as a player to help my team which I did and I accorded Kwara United the respect needed because Ilorin is my home.
“The fans should expect positive results from Kano Pillars in this new campaign.”
Kano Pillars will trade tackles with Niger Tornadoes in their next game at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, this weekend.
