NPFL: Agagbe concedes Bendel Insurance deserved victory over Barau FC

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Barau FC technical adviser, Eugene Agagbe claimed Bendel Insurance deserved victory over his team, DAILY POST reports.

Bendel Insurance thrashed the Maliya Boys 4-1 in the matchday seven encounter at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, on Sunday.

It was Barau FC’s first defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.

Kayode Oke (brace), Suraju Lawal, and Jonathan James scored for Insurance, while Barau FC got their goal through Aliyu Sugau.

Agagbe claimed Insurance showed strong character in the game.

“Insurance showed strong character, better than last season. We lost to a very good team. I must admit that they played better today,” Agagbe said after the game.

Barau FC will hope to return to winning ways when they host defending champions Rangers at the Sani Abacha Stadium this weekend.

Bendel Insurance will be away to Sporting Lagos in their next game.
