Barau FC maintained their unbeaten start to the new season following a 0-0 draw against hosts Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Saturday.
The two teams had chances to win the game but failed to hit the target.
Barau FC stayed in second position in the table with eight points from four games following the stalemate.
Ikorodu City, who still have an outstanding game, sit in fifth spot with five points from three matches.
At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United recorded their first win of the season, scraping past Niger Tornadoes 1-0.
Abdulrahman Garba’s 21st-minute strike separated both teams on the night.
Katsina United climbed to 11th position, while Niger Tornadoes remained in ninth spot.
In Kano, Ranchers Bees defeated hard-fighting Bendel Insurance 2-1.
Chiedozie Jude Okorie gave the hosts the lead four minutes after the break, while Lekan Gabriel levelled for Insurance in the 66th minute.
Ranchers Bees netted the winner through Mohammed Rabiu Zulkifilu 11 minutes from time.
It was Zulkifilu’s fifth league goal of the season.
