Sporting Lagos technical adviser, Jeffery Buter, has described his team’s defeat to Abia Warriors as disappointing.
The club suffered a 2-0 loss to Abia Warriors at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Sunday.
Ikoi Etta and Chukwumeka Obioma were on target for Abia Warriors in the game.
Buter said that his team made mistakes in their desperation to score late in the keenly contested encounter.
“Always disappointing to lose especially in the front of the home fans,” Buter stated in his post-match interview.
“I think we had a good game, we maybe made some mistakes with the substitution, but in the inside we were trying to find goals, we have to put players up the pitch.
“Two mistakes, two goals conceded on the counter so it was a disappointing result for us.”
Sporting Lagos will be up against Enyimba in their next game in Aba.
