NPFL: Deutsch satisfied with Enyimba’s performance in defeat to Rangers

Daily Post 22 days 1 mins read

Enyimba technical adviser, Emmanuel Deutsch has reacted to his team’s oriental derby defeat to Rangers, DAILY POST reports.

The People’s Elephant went down 2- 1 to Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, on Sunday night.

Enyimba took the lead through Wonah Williams in the 44th minute.

Chidozie Iwundu and Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, however, scored for Rangers in the second half to seal the maximum points.

Deutsch claimed that losing the derby wasn’t bad for his team.

“Losing such a derby game away isn’t that bad. It wasn’t a bad game, we scored the first goal, they equalised and scored the second. They needed the victory the way we needed,” the Cameroonian was quoted by the NPFL media.

Rangers reclaimed top spot on the table following the win, while Enyimba dropped to 13th position.
