NPFL: How Rivers United can win the league title – Finidi

Daily Post 1 day 1 mins read

Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, says the club’s focus is to win all their home matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.

Finidi pointed out that dropped points in home matches cost his team the title last season.

Rivers United have won all three of their home matches this season.

The Port Harcourt-based club and Kano Pillars are the only clubs yet to taste defeat this season.

“The focus this season is to win all our home games,” Finidi told the club’s media.

“We will give it a try as we don’t know if it will happen. We lost the NPFL title last season because we lost to Bayelsa United and a few other games we drew here in Port Harcourt.

“At the end of the campaign, we were looking for one point, but this season we will try, as all our home matches can be won, as well as playing good football.”

Rivers United will face Abia Warriors in their next game.
