NPFL: Niger Tornadoes will cope with Akaje’s absence – Dogo

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

Niger Tornadoes technical adviser, Kabiru Dogo, says that his team will cope with the absence of Hanafi Akaje following his suspension for the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday eight encounter against Ranchers Bees.

Akaje was sent off in Niger Tornadoes goalless’ draw against Ranchers Bees at the Sani Abacha stadium in Kano last Saturday.

Dogo admitted that Akaje is an important player in the team but expressed confidence in the team’s depth.

“He (Akaje) is a very strong player in our team, a super player,” Dogo told the club’s media.

“We did not build the team around one player. We have a squad of 35 players, and we must be ready to cope with his absence,” Dogo said.

Niger Tornadoes will be up against Ikorodu City in their next league fixture in Minna next weekend.
