NPFL: Ogunbote rues Plateau United’s loss to Enyimba

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Plateau United technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has described his team’s defeat to Enyimba as unfortunate.

The Peace Boys were defeated 2-0 by Enyimba at the international stadium in Aba on Sunday.

Ifeanyi Ihemekwele and Richard Ezinne were on target for the hosts in the game.

Plateau United’s Ibrahim Yahaya was also forced off the pitch after picking up an injury in the match.

Ogunbote promised to work on the lapses identified in the game.

“It was an unfortunate one, we came here with a different notion but unfortunately we lost the game,” Ogunbote told the club’s media.

“Another unfortunate thing is that we lost a player(Ibrahim Yahaya), we won’t be playing in our next game.

“That’s football. We will take the positives from the game, make amends and move on from here.”
