NPFL: Peter Afolayan leaves Enyimba after one season

Peter Afolayan has left Enyimba following the expiration of his contract, DAILY POST reports.

Afolayan made 35 appearances for the People’s Elephant.

He featured regularly for the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions last season.

Afolayan joined Enyimba at the start of last campaign after leaving Heartland.

He played a key role in the Aba giants fight against relegation during the 2025/26 season.

Afolayan has been attracting interest from clubs since his move away from the two-time African champions.

Enyimba will now look to replace him in their squad before the start of the new season.
