Plateau United technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has admitted that his players were careless in the draw against Doma United.
The Peace Boys fought back from two goals down to hold Doma United to a 2-2 draw at the Pantami Stadium on Wednesday.
Adegbite Michael scored twice for Doma United while Gideon Monday and Paul Samson levelled for Plateau United.
Ogunbote said that the encounter was difficult and that his side missed the chance of securing a maximum points.
“It was good that we were able to get this one point, it wasn’t an easy one,” Ogunbote stated in a post-match interview.
“I think we were careless to concede those two goals. As much as we appreciated that one point but it was a two goals loss.”
Ogunbote urged the fans to continue to support the team in subsequent matches.
“All I will just say is for the fans to continue to support us in every capacity because the team is still a work in progress.
“The synergy among the new and the old player isn’t there yet but we will get it right in subsequent matches,” he added.
