NPFL: Plateau United hit with injury blow ahead of Kano Pillars clash

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Plateau United will be without four players for Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, matchday eight clash against Kano Pillars, DAILY POST reports.

The absentees are Monami Vongsuou, ThankGod Chinemeze, Seiyefa Jackson and Utim Ikowem.

Vongsuou and Chinemeze have been ruled out with knee injuries, while Seiyefa Jackson is still recovering from a rib fracture.

Utin Ikowem is also unavailable for selection after sustaining an ankle sprain.

The affected players will continue their rehabilitation as the Peace Boys intensify preparations to welcome Kano Pillars to the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.

The injury setback comes at a crucial time for Plateau United, who will be aiming to capitalize on home advantage to secure maximum points.

Plateau United’s technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, will be forced to reshuffle his squad as they look to maintain momentum in the NPFL.
